Chaos, Daddy Issues, and a Fork: The Little Mermaid Was Unhinged 🧜‍♀️

Hello and welcome back! So, if you’re still out here saying The Little Mermaid is just “Ariel gave up her voice for a man,” then you clearly haven’t watched it in a while. She gave up her voice to explore a world she was obsessed with. Eric, was just a bonus. Ariel was always gonna go to the surface, he just sped up the timeline.

Ariel was one of my favorite Disney princesses growing up. I even had the Mattel doll with the pearl necklace and everything. So, I figured, why not rewatch it and do a nostalgic review? So with that being said lets dive into this.

We don’t even meet Ariel until six minutes in, and she’s already out there adventuring with Flounder, who by the way is an anxious icon. He’s a scaredy fish with a heart of gold and I love him for it. Ariel, meanwhile, is out here treating the ocean like her personal playground, just like I used to, I mean I definitely snuck into places I shouldn’t have been. Anyone else?

When she finds that fork? She has no idea what it is, but she’s thrilled. Pure golden retriever energy. Then a shark shows up, and Ariel, instead of fleeing like Flounder, goes back for her bag. Girl. Ma’am. That's a shark, not a unicorn.

Poor Flounder gets stomped on by Scuttle, who might be the world’s worst anthropologist. He confidently explains that the fork is a “dinglehopper,” and Ariel just eats it up. Then she realizes she missed the big concert which is unfortunately relatable. I’ve missed things many times because I got distracted by a cool rock.

Ursula enters, giving fabulous sea witch energy. Then we flash to King Triton throwing a tantrum and giving the classic line “as long as you live under my ocean, you'll live by my rules”. That line always drove me nuts as a kid. Like, mister, king, sir, try “communication” next time.

Sebastian gets voluntold to babysit Ariel, but shes already distracted by a passing ship. Enter Prince Eric, and his adorable dog Max. Ariel’s like, ‘Who’s this?, and I get it. He’s charming, dog loving, and not afraid to risk his life for Max during a literal explosion. That's definitely boyfriend material.

Eric ends up getting thrown overboard and knocked unconscious and Ariel saves him, sings to him, then vanishes like a siren ninja. And boom, Ursula’s got her next victim. Ariel’s all puppydog eyed and Sebastian’s having a panic attack, and Triton is oblivious until Andrina spells it out for him.

Then Sebastian sings Under the Sea in a desperate attempt to distract her. Cute, but Ariel’s like, “I want human stuff, not a concert.” Flounder tries to cheer her up with a statue of Eric, but Triton shows up and smashes everything in a fit of overprotective rage. That’s exactly how you drive a girl or mermaid straight into a villain’s tentacles.

Then enters Flotsam and Jetsam, Disney’s creepiest eels, offering Ariel the deal of a lifetime. She says no... until they kick the face of the statue to her and that was somehow highly effective. She signs the contract with Ursula, loses her voice, and poof, legs!

Thankfully, Flounder and Sebastian were able haul her to shore, where Eric immediately feels like shes familiar somehow and Max is obviously obsessed with her too, so that’s a win. And of course Scuttle shows up, completely unaware Ariel has legs. I swear he lives in a completely different movie.

Ariel gets taken back to the castle and gets the royal treatment, which is where she slips into that iconic pink dress and hilariously tries to brush her hair with a fork. Meanwhile, Sebastian is living a Tom & Jerry nightmare in the kitchen.

Then comes the boat scene. Kiss the Girl starts playing, and Ariel’s so down. Yeah, she couldn’t talk, but she was absolutely leaning in. Ariel was anything but subtle but before their lips can meet, BOOM, eel attack!

Ursula takes things to a whole new level by transforming herself into a stunning brunette named Vanessa, using her magic to bewitch Prince Eric into marrying her. Ariel is heartbroken. Luckily, Scuttle puts the pieces together and calls in a ragtag team of animal sidekicks for an all-out brawl that feels straight out of Avengers: Infinity War. Mayhem erupts—Max even bites Ursula, what a good boy!. Ariel’s voice escapes from the enchanted necklace, snapping Eric out of his trance. Then just as the two are about to seal their love with a kiss, Ariel turns back into a mermaid and Ursula drags her away. They were seconds too late.

Then the climax goes full-on Pirates of the Caribbean. Triton sacrifices himself to save Ariel, Ursula goes full kaiju. We’ve got whirlpools, lightning, giant tentacles And then as if thats not enough Eric literally impales Ursula with a ship. This is a kid's movie, I repeat, this is a kid’s movie. Modern disney could never.

In the end, Triton sees how much Ariel loves Eric and turns her human for good. It’s a beautiful act of love and growth and a rare case of a Disney dad finally learning how to chill and not like ‘chill in a coffin’—actual emotional growth.

In the end they get their happily ever after, complete with sparkles, sea-side romance, and wedding cake. Tiana Built an Empire 👑 My Favorite Modern Disney Princess!🐸

Hi there and welcome back! Tiana from Princess and the Frog is definitely my favorite amongst the New Age Disney princesses. She didn’t just sit around waiting for things to happen! She jumped right into action. She had a plan, clear goals, and the hustle to match. While others were busy chatting with animals in the forest, Tiana was grinding hard, pinching pennies, and working toward opening her and her fathers dream restaurant. And lets be honest here she could’ve easily asked her wealthy friend Lottie for a loan but no, Tiana said, “Thanks, but I’m doing this the real way: with hard work, determination, and probably way too much gumbo.

And then just when things start looking like they're going to work out... bam! Frog. Boom. Amphibian. One second she’s chasing her dream, next second she’s dodging flies and hopping around with a dude that has the work ethic of a couch potato. I mean, I’d be mad too!

But what I love about Tiana is her no-nonsense attitude. She’s driven, focused, and a literal queen of the hustle. However she’s also a little too serious sometimes. Like, girl, it’s okay to enjoy the ride! Then there's Naveen, our charming but lazy prince, who helps her relax but honestly, his job before this movie was just chilling, and in return she helps him realize that being “rich and useless” isn’t actually a personality.

And don’t get me started on the Shadow Man. When he popped up offering Tiana everything she ever wanted, I was holding my breath like I just realized I forgot to hit “save” on a big editing project but Tiana didn’t fall for that black magic, unlike someone else we know.. *cough cough* Ariel. Tiana realized that all the success in the world meant nothing if she couldn’t share it with the one person who made her heart leap... or ribbit. Too soon? In the end, she got it all:  love, her restaurant, and yeah probably some killer Yelp reviews.

Ok so now I wanna know, who’s your favorite New Age Disney Princess? Let me know in the comments below! And if you haven’t already, hit that subscribe button and ring the bell so you never miss a new video or livestream.

Disney's Cinderella Healing Trauma with Kindness and Sparkles✨Why Cinderella is the most underrated classic era disney princess

Hello and welcome back! I am so tired of the Cinderella slander. You know, the whole “she just waited around

for a man to save her and married a prince” narrative? Like… no. The people who say this are either a few

crayons short of a full package or have memory loss worse than Dory from Finding Nemo.

Let’s be real if you haven’t watched this movie in a while, you’re probably forgetting just how much trauma

Cinderella went through. From the very start, it’s clear that Lady Tremaine was a raging narcissist. She didn’t

just pit her daughters against each other; she made Cinderella's life harder simply because she could.

Now put yourself in Cinderella’s shoes. Actually, don’t. They’re glass. You’ll get blisters.

But seriously her mother’s already passed away, then her dad dies too, and the next thing she knows,

she’s in a reality show called “So You Think You Can Suffer?”

But despite all that, Cinderella is kind, caring, and somehow not completely feral.

Less than 10 minutes into the movie, Jaq tells her that a new mouse is caught in a trap. What does she do?

Does she say, “Ugh, not my problem”? No. She instantly rushes to help him, gives him a name Gus, gives him

clothes, and basically welcomes him into the family like he’s her long-lost rodent cousin. Honestly, the girl’s got

more compassion than a therapy dog convention.

And let’s talk about Lucifer, the original grumpy cat. Even though Cinderella clearly doesn’t like him because

he’s basically hunting her mouse friends like it’s an episode of Tom & Jerry, she still tells Bruno to try and get

along with him.

Then when the royal invitation to the ball arrives, Lady Tremaine pulls the classic “Oh sure, you can go…

if you finish all your chores and have something suitable to wear.” Translation: “You’re not going.”

She knew what she was doing. She piled on extra chores knowing full well Cinderella didn’t have time to stitch up

anything wearable. Honestly, Tremaine’s just lucky Cinderella wasn’t into petty revenge, because I would’ve

glitter-bombed her mail.

But plot twist: the mice and birds show up and repay Cinderella's kindness by making her a dress out of scraps,

ribbons, and love. And it is gorgeous. Seriously, Project Mouseway nailed it.

Then Cinderella shows up in her gorgeous pink dress, ready to go. She’s not even doing anything wrong just trying

to join the family and maybe dance with someone who isn’t emotionally unstable. And what happens? Anastasia

and Drizella rip her dress apart with the coaxing of Lady Tremaine.

And the fear in her eyes? That wasn’t just sadness. That was the look of someone who’s been gaslit, manipulated,

and broken down for years. That moment hurt more than stepping on a LEGO barefoot. Poor Cinderella broke and

in that moment with her last ounce of hope her fairy godmother appears like the magical grandma we all wish we

had, she waves her wand, and Cinderella finally gets her night of freedom. A new dress, glass slippers, pumpkin

Uber, she’s ready.

And the best part? She doesn’t even realize she’s dancing with the Prince. She’s not scheming. She’s not plotting.

She’s just genuinely chilling. Probably thinking, “Wow, this guy hasn’t insulted me or called me a servant!”

The next day, she’s just doing her thing serving breakfast, minding her business when Lady Tremaine mentions

that the Prince is looking for the girl from the ball. And Cinderella? She doesn’t faint. She doesn’t immediately run

out screaming “IT’S MEEEEE!” No. She’s humble. She listens. She holds onto hope.

So no, she didn’t wait for a prince to save her. Cinderella was a girl who endured unthinkable hardship, stayed kind,

and just wanted one night where she didn’t feel like the household punching bag. And through that kindness, hope,

and resilience, she found a better life.

It’s a beautiful story of survival, self-worth, and a reminder that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can be is

kind.

So if you haven’t lately, go watch Cinderella. It’s on Disney+. And if you’re still not convinced just remember that

her fairy godmother gave her a ball gown, but she earned her happy ending.

And on’t forget to leave a like, subscribe, and hit that bell to get notifications. And tell me which of Cinderella’s

dresses do you like more? The pink one or the silvery blue one? I personally love the pink one, handmade with

love and a dash of mousey friendship, but let me know down in the comments what you think.

And lastly, make sure to go check out my amazing husband’s channel, Cosas Para Tener. It’s a Spanish speaking

channel that does gaming how-tos, reviews, and more and well thank you for watching. I’ll see you next time have a magical day! Bye!
